Zeebrugge starts train shuttle to Northern French Dourges (January 2012)

2011 second best year (December 2011)

Until mid 2011 Zeebrugge maintained the level of the handling volume of 2010. Due to the economic slow-down the traffic slackened as from the second semester. The decrease occured in the container business. The other port sectors showed an increase.

As a result, 2011 is Zeebrugge's second best year, with an estimated cargo throughput of 47.3 million tons (-4.5 %). Read more ...
