The port has evolved from a pure transit port into a logistic platform large volumes of supplied goods are stocked in specialised centres and are submitted to several adaptations. In this way, value is added to the cargo before the products are distributed to the customers on the European Continent, in the United Kingdom or in other continents. As yet, Zeebrugge has mainly concentrated on logistic activities in sectors like nutrition, paper, new cars and machines.
